I applied as a junior in high school and got in; my ACT score was 31, but that was only required for early admission. Basically, if you want Knox to want you, it isn't that hard; have average or better grades, and be a free-thinker, and they'll admit you with a hearty scholarship on top.

I wrote my essay the morning I sent my application in and they still took me. If you have good grades it's an easy in. They focus on bringing in a lot of people with high GPAs. They don't care about maintaining that quality though.

Knox College is not extremely difficult to get into. There are people with a variety of SAT/ACT scored who get in. It is also a test optional school, for those who may not perform well on standardized tests. However, because the academics are very challenging, Knox College tends to weed out a number of unqualified students and students who are not motivated (primarily during freshman year).
